YouTube Integration
Hob's Space connects to your YouTube channel to automatically enrich your mini-site with your public content and statistics.
What is it used for?
When you connect your YouTube channel to Hob's Space, we retrieve your public information to display it on your Hob's Space page, in the Videos and Statistics blocks. The goal: let your visitors discover your recent content and gauge your audience at a glance, without leaving your mini-site.
- Automatic display of your channel, recent videos and public playlists on your Hob's Space.
- Statistics block with subscriber and view counts, refreshed regularly.
- Music block to feature a clip or a YouTube Music mix.
What data is collected?
Hob's Space only accesses public data from your channel. We never write, post or modify anything on your YouTube account.
- Public channel identifier and information (name, avatar, description, link)
- Your list of public videos and public playlists
- Public channel statistics (subscribers, total views)
- Read-only analytics statistics (yt-analytics.readonly) to display aggregated indicators
Requested OAuth permissions
When connecting via Google, Hob's Space requests two YouTube permissions, both read-only:
youtube.readonlyView your YouTube account (list of channels, videos, playlists and public subscriptions).
yt-analytics.readonlyRead your channel's YouTube analytics reports (views, subscribers, aggregates).
No write, upload or modify scope is requested. Hob's Space cannot publish videos, send comments, or modify your content.
Storage and retention
OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted and stored securely. The retrieved data (videos, statistics) is cached to avoid overloading the YouTube API and refreshed periodically. No YouTube data is shared with any third party.
How to revoke access
You can revoke access to your YouTube channel at any time, from Hob's Space or directly from your Google account.
- From Hob's Space: Dashboard → Settings → Integrations → "Disconnect YouTube" button.
- From Google: "Apps with access to your account" page in your Google account.
Compliance
Hob's Space's use of the YouTube APIs is governed by the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
